Hydrogel therapy (collagen stick)

Have you been suffering for months due to discogenic pain (intervertebral disc pain)? Has surgery been recommended but you are hesitant? Have you already undergone surgery and has the pain recurred?

Intervertebral disc augmentation: Fast help without surgical intervention

The hydrogel therapy (collagen stick) builds up the intervertebral disc from the inside. The procedure is very uncomplicated and is performed as an outpatient treatment under local anaesthesia.
It takes around 15 minutes, and after resting for one hour, the patients can resume their everyday life.

This method can be applied with:

  • Wear of the intervertebral discs in the lumbar spine region
  • Radicular syndrome
  • Intervertebral disc protrusion
  • Irritation of the small facet joints
  • Complaints after Albee-Delbet surgery

How the method works:

With the help of state-of-the-art X-ray control, Dr. Willibald Walter precisely injects a hydrogel that swells up to 15 times its original size through contact with the water in the intervertebral disc to take over the damper function of the damaged intervertebral disc and to neutralise its pH value again. This method also relieves smaller facet joints and reduces back pain.
