Sacroiliac joint syndrome

The sacroiliac joint connects the spine with the pelvis. A wrong move, for example when lifting a heavy object, and suddenly you feel pain deep in your lower back that may radiate all the way to the legs.

Restoring movement

The most frequent causes for this are functional disorders, such as blocking or biomechanical stress; in rare cases it is caused by wear or a rheumatic disease with inflammation of the sacroiliac joint.

Specific therapy mix

To put an end to adverse interactions such as tension and pain, our orthopaedic team applies an individual mix of analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs, dosed according to the intensity of the complaints, mobilisation of the blocked region through physiotherapy and medical strengthening therapy as soon as the pain has subsided.
